A cheerful success for Support4SDR Wales
Congratulations to Victoria Roocroft and Infinity Cheer Squad on the success of their sponsored Cheerathon.
Victoria is a Cheerobics instructor who organised the cheerothon for our cheerleaders and two charities close to their squad, one of which was Support4SDR Wales. So far they have raised £214 for each charity which will provide for almost a whole block of therapy for a child. It looks like it was hard work but also great fun. |

Cardiff Half Marathon 2015
It's taken a while for all the money to come in, but we can now confirm that last year's half marathon raised a huge £4380! Huge thanks to our runners, volunteers, all those who sponsored us and provided sports massage and other freebies to our runners. Soon we'll be registering again for 2015 so let us know if you want to run by filling in the Contact Us form HERE
SDR party 2014Diving into the unknownOn 9th November 2013 Nik Royale and friends decided to throw themselves out of a plane to help us raise money. Crazy you may say, but also amazingly brave. All those that took part say they would definitely do it again, so the initial fear seems to have been well worth it and they raised £505 for Support4SDR Wales as well. What makes this so special is that Nik Royale has Cerebral Palsy and this goes to show what can be achieved. What a role model for our kids!
Joining us at the jump were the Harries family whose son Thomas had surgery in St. Louis. He wanted to come to support Nik and the other jumpers. Also, Jane and Jade Owen who are currently fundraising to go to St Louis for the operation. The money raised by the charity will be able to help pay for aftercare for children like Jade, so thanks to everyone involved. If you would like to skydive for us you can find out more HERE and book HERE. November 11th 2013 |
Thank you to Ocean Hairdressing
Belated thanks to Ocean for a fantastic £930 raised at their Christmas shopping evening held in Wellfield Road. Thanks also to the shops that participated in the event and gave all the shoppers a great discount. Website
Taking time outThis week Sue Hurrell and I took time out to relax with a pamper session at a new spa in Cardiff. It was a freebie, so even better. It made us think though that we don't often take time for ourselves and it is so important. As parents too often we put ourselves last, but if we are exhausted it doesn't help our kids. So the moral of the story is to take time out for yourselves now and again. Go to the cinema, for a meal or even just a walk to clear your head. We still managed to get the charity into our day during the photo shoot and spread the word a little bit wider to anyone who was willing to listen. |
